Slab constructed using an oval-shaped handmade plaster mold. A false front is built across the entire front side of the frame allowing tiles to "slide in." Tiles are custom cut to "slide" down the front of the frame from behind. The frame and tiles are raku fired separately and reunited post firing. The piece rests on a 7" x 9" clay stand permanently attached to the frame by two 1" round clay supports. 24" H x 6" W x 3" D
